HEAT TREATMENTS OF STEELS
Description
This is the first of three courses that are part of a training course on heat treatment and metallography.
Each course can be taken independently of the others.
To have a complete training we recommend attending in the entire course.
For this reason, we provide a discount for those who participate in two or all three courses.
Course Objectives
To provide the basis for understanding the mechanisms of steel formation and production, as well as the theory behind heat treatments.
Target audience
The course is aimed at technicians working in the metal and steel industry, quality control workers and also salespeople (purchasing and/or sales) interested in learning more about metallurgy-related issues.
Course lecturers
- Eng. Mario Cusolito – Consultant
- Prof. Barbara Rivolta – Politecnico di Milano
- Prof. Riccardo Gerosa – Politecnico di Milano
- Omar Ceresoli – Consultant

The next edition of the course will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The course will be held at the SMT Laboratory in Pozzo d’Adda (MI), Via del Lavoro 7.
The cost of the course is €500.00 + VAT 22% for each participant.
This course is part of a 3-module training course that also includes the following modules:
- Metallography of carbon and low-alloy steels
- Metallography of stainless and non-ferrous steels
In case of participation in the other modules, we offer a subsidized price as below:
- 2 COURSES: €900.00 + VAT 22%
- 3 COURSES: €1,200.00 + VAT 22%
The participation fee also includes lunch and two coffee breaks
